CECILIA VOICULESCU - Translator and interpreter
Fulbright Scholar alumnus for research in applied linguistics at the Department of English of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, USA, 2002-3 for a legal and economic dictionary of American and European terms. In 2005, Niculescu published this 'Legal Dictionary', English-Romanian, Romanian-English'.
Certified interpreter ("p.f.a.") of English and French. Interpreter at European Union conferences, seminars and working groups (Bruxelles, Luxembourg, Rome, Bonn) within important programs and foundations; permanent free-lance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Justice, and the Romanian Competition Council in competition and state aid. I am a service provider of the US Commercial Service in Romania, as a member of the BuyUSA program.
Written translations, editing and proofreading in English, legal and economic specialization.
Master of Arts degree in visual studies at CESI, University of Bucharest: studies of the visual/text rapport in philosophy, art and political science. In my thesis, I tried to decodify cultural images in post-December 1989 politics, distorted identity myths, economic and historic stereotypes in Romania.
